Tatale – fried ripe plantain with spices

Ingredients

Ripe and very soft plantains
Self raising flour Image result for self rising flour
Palm oil or canola oil for frying, Onion, Cayenne pepper


How to make it

  1. Peel and thoroughlymash the plantains.
  2. Put into a bowl and add the flour to bind.
  3. Add the onion, salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Mix well and leave to stand for 20 minutes.
  5. Fry in spoonfuls in a little hot oil until golden brown.
  6. Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot.

How to serve:

Normally served withbeans, or as a side dish withjollof or waakye.
